Facing the places that wound us

I am eager to share my films, music, and message of hope throughout the world. I am available for film screenings and speaking engagements. I have spoken internationally at a variety of venues, including university classrooms and lecture halls, churches, film festivals, independent movie houses, high schools, recovery centers and prisons.

It is unusual for a visiting speaker/scholar/practitioner at Harvard to reach an audience on so many levels: hearts, minds and even hands. Patrick’s calm but intense energy and boundless optimism are infectious and powerful tools, especially in combination with his artistic prowess behind the camera and his profound belief in human dignity and our ability to heal ourselves and each other. I’m glad we brought Patrick to Harvard to share his projects, and recommend him to other organizations that want to have a frank, practical and far reaching conversation about contemporary Africa, and the universality of mental health challenges.
— Dr. Susan Cook, Executive Director, Committee on African Studies, Harvard University
Mr Mureithi’s presentation was the jackpot of all guest speaker presentations. Mr. Mureithi’s talk changed my perspective on humanity and life.
— Maggie Thomas, SGA Vice President, Cottey College
“ICYIZERE teaches us the most critical of human skills, how to speak, to listen, to understand and to forgive oneself and others. I could not recommend any film more highly”
— – Mary Pipher, NY Times best-selling author of “Reviving Ophelia,” “The Shelter of Each Other” and “Writing to Change the World.”
